Alia Bhatt is an actor who is known for her acting chops and gorgeous looks. But in the initial days of her career, she got massively trolled for her stint on ‘Koffee With Karan’. The actress was asked about who the President of India is. Instead of Pranab Mukherjee, she mentioned Prithviraj Chavan, who was then the chief minister of Maharashtra. The clip got viral and she was made fun of for her lack of general knowledge. As time passed, people forgot this episode although once in a while, it still gets talked about.

In her upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, the tables get turned. Her character Rani is the more intelligent and aware one. At one point, she asks Rocky (Ranveer Singh) a simple general knowledge question. What Rocky answers will surely bring the house down.
Bollywood Hungama had an exclusive dekko at the 3 minute 18 second long theatrical trailer today. The teaser didn’t give any hint about the storyline. The plot, however, is quite obvious in the trailer and it’s definitely a bit novel and out of the box. At the same time, it is mainstream and fits into the cinema that director Karan Johar is known for.
The highlight of the trailer is the chemistry between Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. Ranveer seems to be in his element while Alia, as expected, looks like a million bucks. A few dialogues are sure to leave viewers laughing. One also gets to briefly hear some of the other songs of the film in the promo.
However, the trailer doesn’t focus much on Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan and Dharmendra. And that’s fine as the makers can’t be expected to show so many aspects of the film in a trailer. The trailer serves its purpose – it makes people aware what the story is all about and how it can be a complete family entertainer.
The teaser of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani had worked big time and the trailer will take the excitement up by a few notches. If team Dharma manages to maintain the hype through the release of forthcoming assets and marketing strategy, this Karan Johar directorial will surely open with a bang in cinemas on July 28, 2023.
